The History of Plastic Closures,
Our
company has been based in Warrington since 1982, taking on the name
Plastic Closures Ltd in 1984. Specialising in the high output production
of quality closures and caps for the packaging and associated industries
since it began.
After
steady growth, profit and stability the company moved from its base
in Thelwall to the present location at Woolston. The new factory
was purchased out right and has room for future expansion and production.
Production has recently been expanded with the purchases of two
new injection-moulding machines just after the move to the new factory,
which was initiated over the Christmas, shut down holiday of 1995.
The company achieved the move without loss of production for the
start of January 1996. Well established in the Woolston area, the
new premises have facilitated enhanced product development by the
addition of a laboratory and test centre, enabling increased reliability
of our products and benchmarking systems.
In
the summer of 1993 Plastic Closures Ltd attained BS 5750 and we
have continued to use the new ISO BS EN 9002 to enhance our service,
production, quality and administrative procedures
Recently
PCL have increased their production capabilities with the purchase
of four further injection moulding machines and new wadding facilities,
both acquisitions have improved lead-times, quality and flexibility.
Our
technical department has many years experience of cap and closure
production, we have recently built four of our own medium output
assemble machines.
The company believes in people and building relationships, we strive
to achieve the highest quality by continuous improvement and by
communication throughout our organisation and customer base. We
have recently been accepted as a designated "positive about
disabled people" company.
